Wednesday Evening, Port st Mary, Isle of Man
Haven't put many reports on hear, but suppose I should share some more of the good fishing we are having
Was supposed to be fishing the Manx Boat Fishing mid week comp, couldn't make it because late finishing work.
Give a couple of my mates a shout to see if they fancied a trip out on the Yaks. We launched at Gansey beach and headed to a mark I wanted to try for a cod or 2.
15 minute paddle we were there.
Feathers on first to get some mackies for bait, got 6 in 2 drops. Plenty of Pollock about, bit of pest at times. I then found the cod, most small ones but had a few plump ones, keeping one for my tea, topping 4 1/2 lb. Aaron had the best fish of the night, a ling around the 8-9lb mark

Where you over hear recently? You get any fishing done?
Things are only going to get better through these next few months, and next weekend we will be having our kayak comp, so hopefully all goes well. Make it even better for next year!
My mate who lives down Port st Mary has 3 fishing kayaks, so next time you are over give us a shout.

Yeah last week..... viewtopic.php?f=68&t=1817
Had my lass with me so fishing was secondary to be honest. (to her, not me )
Might be over again around August bank holiday.... may bring the car with the yak on the roof if i can get a cheap enough deal.
Cheers for the offer of borrowing your mates yak I do it all the time with terrys
May well take you up on that if its too expensive to bring the car (highly likely with Steam Racket!!)

Fished a mark which was close to Carrick, but not quite at Scarlett or Perwick Fished in around 45-50ft of water. Haven't got a fish finder/plotter yet, but suppose I don't need one because luckily enough to have all the old marks drilled into my head since the age of 4, but will be purchasing a fish finder/plotter shortly anyway.
Just put my anchor trolley on today, so hopefully try get a bit of conger fishing in next week!
