Is this the shop Andy? http://stores.ebay.co.uk/kayaks-4-u?_tr ... 7675.l2563
This is the sort of thing I'd be looking at http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ocean-kayak-t ... 4ac8ee7782

Looks to be the same ones i saw here... http://www.galaxykayaks.co.uk/
Its entirely up to you what you buy - Its your money.
I've replied to a few posts of this ilk in the past, given my advice, and then seen a post saying they have bought virtually the opposite to what had been the advice
Personally, I would not buy any of the galaxy kayaks - But thats my opinion. I would be looking for something a little longer (longer and sleeker generally means quicker/easier to paddle)
Most of the places I tend to fish on the yak are a decent paddle even in my 13ft Trident.... I can leave Rushy miles behind when he used Terrys Big game (12ft but a lot wider), and i smoke, and do little exercise... - Dave cycles to work every day and by his own admission is "An Athlete"
I've read a few reviews on other sites, and a lot of people seem to think they are pretty good for their money - At the prices I've seen, if they will do the job you need it to, then why not.

Re: what kayaks brand reccomended???
Where do i start...
PFD - Personal Floatation Device - Anywhere from about £20 to about 200
Drysuit / Dry pants and cag / Wetsuit - (Ideally drysuit, even in summer the water is freezing!!)
Handheld VHF radio.
Paddle - Pay a little extra to get fibreglass shaft - Cheap ali shafts are cold on your hands (reasonable paddle, glass shaft, about £40-50 chances are you will get a paddle with the yak anyway)
Trolley - These are much cheaper nowadays, they were a fortune for a decent one when i got mine.. about £40
Anchor, chain, rope
Anchor trolley
Rope cutting knife (attached to you)
Paddle leash, safety line for you...
Sure there is more but thats off the top of my head....
Books, i have a couple but they are pretty american. There may be newer books about that are better.
Anchoring is the main thing, and if you are likely to end up in the drink it will be either when dropping anchor, or pulling it in. Best thing would be to go out with someone so they can show you how to do it as safely as possible.
